British Monument Mauthausen

This memorial commemorates the British victims of Mauthausen concentration camp. These were mainly agents of the SOE who were denied treatment as prisoners of war and therefore ended up in this concentration camp. The text on the monument reads:

In lasting memory of the indomitable British inmates of this camp who after induring indescribable suffering and torture died or were muredered.
