Italian Monument Mauthausen

This 1955 memorial by architect Mario Labò was placed here on behalf of the Republic of Italy to commemorate the Italian victims of Mauthausen concentration camp. The memorial wall contains the following text:

Agli Italiani che per la dignita degli uomini qui soffersero e perirono

For the Italians who suffered and died here for the dignity of human beings.

On the back of the wall are pictures of the victims and plaques.
