Memorial of the European Youth Mauthausen

This monument of European youth was placed here in 2001. It is an initiative of the Östereichische LAgergemeinschaft Mauthausen, Mauthausen Aktiv Österreich and the Österreichischer Bundesjugendring.

The text on the accompanying plaque reads:

Memorial of the European youth for children and young people who had to lose their childhood, their youth, their lives here or in other places of horror.
Never again!
