This well maintained war museum is dedicated to the battles of El Alamein (1942) and the Second World War in North Africa. The museum contains the following halls:
Egyptian hall
This hall is devoted to the Egyptian people who aided the Allied forces in the war against Nazi Germany.
Commonwealth hall:
This hall is devoted to the Commonwealth soldiers who fought in battles of El Alamein and other places in North Africa. There are many weapons, maps and uniforms on display.
Italian hall:
This hall contains Italian uniforms and pictures of the Italian defeat at El Alamein.
German hall:
This hall is devoted to the German army during the battles of El Alamein and other battles in North Africa. There are uniforms, maps and weapons on display.
Mixed hall
The "Mixed Hall" is probably the most interesting hall of the museum because it shows both sides were involved in the war. Models demonstrates the battles that took place here.
Outside exhibition
There are many military vehicles and guns that were used in the battles of El Alamein on display outside the museum. Some of them are bearing war damage.
