The Haus der Geschichte tells German history from 1945 to the present. The exhibition covers a wide range of topics such as the partition, of course, but also the political system, the constitution, economy, sports, culture and daily life (from to 1990 both Germany) from 1945 to the recent past.
The exhibition starts with World War II and the period immediately after. For example, there is a copy of the capitulation agreement, a Montgommery beret and lots of visual material on display.
