Monument "We'll Meet Again"

‘We’ll meet again’, the 19 ft high bronze statue, symbolizes the liberation by Airborn parachutists, who were being welcomed with open arms by the previously oppressed cilivians. This monumental sculpture was made to honor the veterans who experienced the largest airborne operation in history; Market Garden, September 1944.
The work of art was made disinterestedly by the internationally renowned Dutch artist Jits Bakker, who himself experienced the Battle of Arnhem from up close, being only 7 years old.
The sculpture was made to connect the past with the present, for future generations, and to stay aware of our delicate freedom.
