Memorial for the citizens of Groesbeek.
The text on the plaque:
The second world war caused the citizens of Groesbeek much distress.
In September 1944 they had to flee for the war violence, that had already made many casualties.
When they returned in the spring of 1945, all their possesions were destroyed. The abandoned weaponry still killed and injured many people.
The rebuilding under poor circumstances took many years.
The citizens of today remember with this monument the citizens of then.
