This tree grown by Chris Beck, Dhoon Farm from an acorn collected at Arnhem Cemetery Netherlands by
MAJOR GENERAL SIR LAURENCE NEW C.B. C.B.E.
on behalf of Maughold Parish Commisioners as part of their Millenium Project 17 September 2000

May it stand and grow as a lasting tribute and memorial to those brave men who gave their lives at the Battle of Arnhem September 1944
