The Delft tile panel in the hall of the Albert Heijn store in the Korenbeurs is a gift from the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam for the support given to them during the famine winter of 1944.
In the hunger winter of 1944 Groningen grain traders gave a portion of their proceeds to the Western Netherlands so needy people had to eat there.
On the tableau are the Westertower of Amsterdam, Rotterdam Harbour and Groningen Martinitower.
