Here stood the synagogue of the Jewish community in Südlohn.
It was destroyed by the Nazis on 9 November 1938.

The small synagogue, used by the Jewish community since 1856, had one room plus a stairway leading up to the women’s gallery. The interior was destroyed on 9 November 1938 and chairs, books, documents and ritual objects were burned in the town square. Not long after, the destroyed building was demolished.
