Médaille commémorative de la Campagne d’Italie
This decoration was instituted on April 1st, 1953 to award all French personnel that took part in the Italian campaign.
The medal, made of bronze and silver-plated, is circular in shape with a wreath of laurels on the outer rim. The centre depicts the French cock surrounded by the inscription 'Corps Expeditonaire Français d'Italie 1943-1944'. The ribbon shows seven red and six white vertical stripes of even width.
