Biography
Herbert Lehrig entered service with the 5. / Infanterie-Regiment 38 in Glatz on November 3rd, 1937. He received the erkennungsmarke with "194 5./IR38" and Wehrnummer "Oels 15/1207/4". After training with the W.K.-R.O.B. Lehrgang VIII(inf.), he was placed in the Jäger-Ersatz-Bataillon 38 in Glatz. Subsequently he served with the 6. / Jäger-Regiment 38. His last occupation was as Zugführer with II. / Grenadier-Regiment 161.
