“During the fighting south of Leningrad Leutnant Zeller threw back strong enemy forces that had penetrated the left neighbouring sector. This action, carried out at the head of just a few Württemberg-Baden Grenadiers, was executed on his own initiative. Afterwards he and his troops were able to hold the recaptured position against numerous Soviet attacks (which were carried out in up to battalion strength).”
