- Awarded on:
- November 13th, 1942
Awarded the Knight's Cross for the successful storming of Koslowo on 29.10.1942, thus contributing majorly to the success of Operation Michael. At 17:00 that day Wulf's regiment immediately attacked and broke into the village after a preceding aerial bombardment. The hitherto fierce resistance quickly disintegrated and the city fell, with the result that the Soviet bridgehead on the east bank of the Lowatj river was unhinged.
Awarded for his contributions during the defensive battles of Penna-Schlucht (south of Staraya Russia, 06.04-24.07.1943), the Ssinjawino Heights (07.-23.08.1943), Leningrad (27.08.1943-14.01.1944) and Pleskau (11.03.-14.07.1944).
