"Throughout the operations in GREECE April 1941 and particularly about AMYNTAION on April 12 and 13 this officer's high powers of leadership, coolness and enthusiasm and complete disregard of danger were conspicuous. He personally selected, and frequently visited, even during the heavies attacks, practically every one of his Regiment's Anti-Tank gun positions, and his ability, energy and personality are primarily responsible for the fine righting of his gun detachments throughout the operations."
