2 October 1944 WO 171/565 - 53 Reconnaissance Regiment
Move cancelled; Regt halted. Now ordered to take over defence of BLADEL 2410 from 4 Welch to enable them to move N. CO visited CO 4 Welch at his HQ. Met Brig Coleman Comd 160 Bde there. Agreed that two Regts should “double up” for night and we should be responsible for def wef 0530 hrs 3 Oct.

3 October 1944 WO 171/565 - 53 Reconnaissance Regiment
B Sqn patrol reached REUSEL 2010 and reported it clear. Brig C Coleman Comd 160 Bde visited Regt. Agreed we should (i) Find out the bridge situation over the many small streams in the area (ii) Push forward N and NW.
