Sliedrecht General Cemetery contains several Dutch war graves. Most of Of the twelve graves are located in a small pelouse d’honneur on the north side of the cemetery. Of the 12 graves, one belongs to a soldier killed in 1940. The other graves contain the remains of men who died in Germany and were later reburied in Sliedrecht. Six of these men belonged to the group of the so-called Merwedegijzelaars.
